Artist / Jane Simpson
Information
Inspired by Morandi still lifes Simpson infuses seemingly ordinary objects with a playfulness that dominates their aesthetic consideration. Using an elegant mixture of the baroque with the surreal she transforms domestic items into sensual objects. These drawings relate closely to her sculptural work which is currently the focus of a solo show in New York.
