Artist / Penny Klepuszewska
Information
Although there is rarely a person in sight, these works act like portraits - traces of activity suggesting that someone has left the scene only moments before and that much can be gleaned of their personality from the way in which the objects have been handled. The lighting is theatrical, perhaps reflecting the artist’s early career with an experimental Polish theatre company. Currently exhibiting at ROOM, and one of the few recent graduates to be included in the Tate survey show, 'How We Are; Photographing Britain'.
